Sizing Chart
Determine your Figure Type
- Petite: You're small boned and at or below your perfect weight. The measurement at the top of your chest is equal to or less than your band size. You wear petite or junior clothing in sizes 8 or smaller.
- Average: You wear clothing in sizes 4 to 14. You are at or near your perfect weight.
- Full Busted: Your breasts are large; you wear a size D cup or above. If not supported properly, your breasts spill out of the cups. Weight and clothing sizes vary.
- Full Figured: You weigh more than your perfect weight and wear clothing size 14 or above. Your breasts are in proportion to the rest of your figure.
- Wide Back, Small Breasts: Though your back and shoulders are broad, your breasts are small. You wear clothing in size 12 or up.
- Uneven: Most women have one breast larger than the other, but yours are more pronounced, perhaps even one whole cup size larger on one side than the other.
- Pendulous: These breasts have lost their overall fullness but are heavy, with most of the weight resting towards the bottom.
- Protruding Nipples: Your nipples are erect all or most of the time and show through most bras.
- Hypersensitive: You cannot tolerate any pressure around your ribcage. You have never found a bra you like and frequently go braless.
Determining Size
Measuring for bra size is tricky. If possible, work with a bra fitter at a specialty shop to find your correct size although, even then, interpretations may vary. One fitter may say 38C while another says 36C or 36D, etc. Trying on bras is the best way to determine size.
Tip: Be sure to wear a bra that gives you good lift and full coverage while measuring.
There are several different ways to measure for bra size; this is the method we've found works best:
While standing, wrap the tape snugly and evenly around your rib cage, just under the bustline.
If you have an average figure, add 4" to 5".
If you are full busted, add 3", 4" , or 5" depending on snugness preference.
If your measurement is 44" or more or if you are very full busted (DDD+) add 0" to 3", depending on how snug you want your bra to fit.
This is your Band Size.
Cup size is often underestimated. The majority of our customers wear a C or D size cup. Breasts should never bulge or spill out of the cups. The center section between the cups should lie flat on the chest. Sometimes a good look in the mirror is the best way to determine cup size.
- Very small = AA
- small = A
- small/medium = B
- medium = C
- large = D
- very large = DD
- extremely large = DDD, F, FF, G, H, I, or J, depending on brand
Or, to measure, wrap the tape evenly around the fullest part of your bustline. If measurement is:
- same or less than band size = AA
- 1" more than band size = A
- 2" more than band size = B
- 3" more than band size = C
- 4" more than band size = D
- 5" more than band size = DD
- 6" more than band size = DDD
- 7" or more than band size = F, FF, G, H, I, J, depending on brand
Tip: Cup size is not uniform among bra manufacturers.
